Christmas, New Year & A Museum

Oooooh dear i really have neglegted this tiny space of mine!

Well here's a refresher of what has been going on....

But firstly firstly i just want to say I'm sorry i haven't been here to catch up with you all lately. It got quite busy towards the end of the year here. After a long, long discussion with hubby, we decided to put our TTC plans on hold, so that i can try to help out my hubby's eldest sister by donating some of my eggs. We had an appointment on the 18th December last year to make sure i was a desirable donor, hubby was required to be there to make sure he was ok with it as well. Our next appointment is on the 27th January, and then after that i will begin my hormone treatment to try and get my eggy weggies ready

Our Christmas was great last year (except for one thing but i will fill you in on that at the end of my post), we spent it up in Newcastle this time at my (biological) fathers place, and all the kids had a great time. Here's some of the pics i took around Christmas, there's quite a few so i won't be offended if you don't check them all out

Being from a German background, we all spent Christmas Eve in Newcastle, then on Christmas Day we took the children to the Newcastle Baths at the beach, then headed back home to Sydney to let the kids open up their presents from Santa and from us (Mum & Dad).

We then had Grandma (my MIL) come and stay with us for week, and on New Years Day we all went to the Powerhouse Museum and checked out the Star Wars Exhibit. It was a really enjoyable day.

Then on New Years Day evening i came down with the worst cold imaginable, and slept for about 48 hours... yesterday i felt much better after starting my course of Anti-biotics... but i think i got too enthusiastic, and have run my self back down a lil

Anyways, back to Christmas... about a week before i got a phone call from my mum, telling me my sister's hubby had left her and their son for a floosie he's secretly been with for the past few months. My sister is devastated to say the least, after 14 years of marriage, 10 of them of which they tried to conceive their son. I just can't get my head around it. All of the family seem to think he's in some sort of depression or is going through a midlife crisis. He did lose his father unexpectedly to a stroke just a year ago, but really i think it's no excuse to go around thinking with your d!ck!!
I do feel VERY lucky to have my hubby and my family, but when things like this happen, it really makes you wonder and makes you think you really have no control over things in life.

Well that concludes what has been happening in the past few weeks. I will be back later to try and add some photo links of the Powerhouse Museum Excursion we took. Till then... take care everyone. Here's wishing you all a fantastic New Year!!

About Me

My photo
Western Sydney, NSW, Australia
I'm a proud happily married mum of four, and I'm very laid back. I do whatever I feel like (and feel is right) and I don't care what anyone thinks of it. I'm honest.. but wont say something if its going to hurt someone. I'll get my feelings hurt and you'll never know it unless you are paying attention and noticed that I'm quiet... because any other time I'll blab your ear off. I take things to heart.. I cant get numb to the crud around me everyday. My heart still feels what most tune out... so I hate watching the news! I love chick flicks. I love the colour purple and blue! I LOVE cars.. mainly older classic & unique cars.. my favourite of course is the 1950's Cadillac. A cadillac would probably cause me to faint! LOL. I am very interested in the environment, politics (but not to argue.. only to get a glimpse of what's in the minds of our leaders), and any other "cause" that has grabbed my heart.I am very happy and I still believe that fairy tales come true... and happily ever afters!
